5360 CORSET WITH POCKETS

YOU WILL NEED: denim, iron-on interfacing; cotton lining; 6 buttons.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

SEAM ALLOWANCE: 1 cm for all seams.

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric pieces).

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE MATCHING!

CUTTING:

Fabric:

1. Centre back – 2 pieces

2. Side back – 2 pieces

3. Side front – 2 pieces

4. Right centre front – 2 pieces

5. Left centre front – 2 pieces

6. Pocket facing – 2 pieces

7. Pocket – 2 pieces

Lining:

1. Centre back – 2 pieces

2. Side back – 2 pieces

3. Side front – 2 pieces

Interfacing: inner centre front, pocket facing.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Apply the interfacing to the wrong side of the inner left/right centre front, pocket facing.

2. Stitch the front curved edges; press the seams open.

3. Press the pocket facing and stitch it to the pocket top edge. Neaten the pocket edges and press them to the wrong side according to the pattern. Topstitch the pocket to the front piece.

4. Stitch the back centre seam. Stitch the back curved edges. Press the seams open.

5. Stitch the side seams and press them open.

6. Stitch the shoulder seams and press them open.

7. With right sides together, stitch the inner center front to the outer pieces along the front edges and around the neck stop the stitching 5 cm before the shoulder edges.

8. Stitch the underlining leaving the shoulder edges unstitched. Press the underlining.

9. Stitch the underlining to the garment.

10. Press under and overstitch the garment hem with underlining leaving 10 cm slit unstitched. Turn the garment through this slit. Sew the slit edges together.

11. Make buttonholes in the right centre front and sew buttons to the left piece.
