EIGHT-GUSSET SKIRT

 

 

MATERIAL: light material, natural or combined fabrics.

 

YOU NEED: crepe de chine of 150 сm width; fusing; 1 button; zipper.

 

CUTTING:

FABRIC:

1. Gussets - 8 details

2. Waistband - 1 detail

 

Fusing: waistband.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

1. Strength the waistband with the fusing.

 

2. Topstitch all side seams excluding place for zipper in the right side seam. Press allowances apart. Sew zipper in.

 

3. Sew waistband to waistline edge right side on left. Fold waistband along center break line right sides together and sew short ends. Fold the band under the seam allowance of the open waistband edge overlapping the joining seam and topstitch close along the edge. Work a button hole into the left end and sew the button to the right.

 

4. Turn over hem allowance along hemline, press, then topstitch.
